I made my first sale on Etsy this week (THANK YOU!!!) so giddy with my first official online store success, i’ve decided to dust off my crushed ego and try eBay again (September was just a slow month, right? right??).  

I’ve relisted the two Pear Tree beads and the Liquid Fire goddess bead HERE.  They are really some of the best beads i’ve made – all three came out of the kiln better than i expected.  I have a couple more beads i’m planning to list next week as well.  Take a look, auctions end October 15th.   Happy bidding!

UPDATE 10/19:  well, it seems eBay was not the right market for these beads – I’ll list them to my Etsy store this week instead… In other news, i received the loveliest thank you note from my first Etsy buyer.  It makes me so happy when i know the recipient loves their bead as much as i do!

More experimenting at the torch…

IMG_3212I’m still full of ideas and experimenting at the torch… and still no explanation for these beads except this is what’s currently coming out of my head:  gothic and cartoon hearts, and playing with the effects that can be created  from boutique silver glass.  The pregnant goddesses are for a custom order.  I’m having fun though!IMG_3213

Custom orders for Christmas?

UPDATE 11/24:  I’m rested, recovered and accepting custom orders again!  just contact me for details…

I know it’s only September, however, if you’d like a ShebaMakeda bead on, under or near your tree (or that of someone you love), it really is time to start thinking about Christmas…

I can only accept custom orders from now through to September 15, 2009, so please book any requests by then.  Delivery dates can be anytime between now and December.

After the 15th, i’ll be concentrating on the classes i’m scheduled to teach and building new stock and designs for our upcoming two-day Ottawa Glass Bead Artists Show on November 7th & 8th (and of course, working that day job).

After the November show,  i will most likely be able to accept custom orders again, however, I may not always be able to guarantee delivery of your custom bead order by Christmas.  I’ll have a better idea of timelines then.
